How to email an encrypted file from SharePoint using Microsoft Outlook Using the Outlook Client Application Browse to the document in SharePoint to ensure that it is one of your most recently accessed locations Open a new email in Outlook. Click Attach File Click Browse Web Locations Click Sites – Brandon Trust Click on the folder that contains the document you want to send. Select the file you want to send and click insert. Select whether you want to send a link to the SharePoint document, or download and attach a copy Continue with your email as normal but ensure that Encrypt is in the subject field if you want the data to be encrypted Using the Outlook Web App Create a link to the document you wish to share in SharePoint and copy it to your clipboard.
