How to configure multiple monitors
When your device has one or more additional display screens connected, you can configure this functionality a few different ways:
1. Right click anywhere on an empty space on your Desktop and select Display Settings:
2. Once the Display Settings open up, you will have a few options that can be configured here:
- You can select the available monitors (shown as squares with a number below) and drag them around if you'd like to switch their position.
- You can click the Identify button to see which is Display 1 and which is Display 2.
- If you select a display, you will have an option to Disconnect it, to Extend it or to Duplicate it:
- Duplicating it means the picture will mirror the other screens.
- Extending it will make it as if you have a single very wide display, allowing you to have different windows and applications on each screen. This is usually the preferred method.
- Disconnecting it will turn the display off and stop using it.
