How to disable notifications from various applications

1. Click the Start Menu icon, type in "notifications" and then click on Notifications & Actions Settings :

2. The Notifications page will open up.

To switch off notifications from all applications entirely, you would toggle the button on top to off (circled in Orange below).
To disable notifications from only particular applications, for example Outlook, you would switch its adjacent button to Off mode (circled in Red below).
