Using Ricoh Printers
Ricoh Printers
Installing your printer
Before using the printer for the first time, you will have to install it on your device. Please refer to https://brandontrust.freshservice.com/a/solutions/articles/27000097999 for steps on how to do that.
Printing
When you hit the Print button on the document you wanted to print, you will get a pop-up window.
- Select Windows Login Name from the drop down menu if not already selected. This only has to be done the very first time you print.
- Under the Password field, pick a locked print PIN between 4-8 digits long.
This can be anything you want and doesn’t have to be the same every time.
You merely have to remember it until you get to the printer where you’ll be prompted to enter the same PIN in order to release the print job.
Once you click Ok, the print job will be sent to the printer. It will need to be released with the set locked print code before it will come out.
To release a print job:
- Wake up the printer by tapping the screen. You will be presented with the standard desktop of the printer. Select Quick Print Release. (The icon may look different but will always be in the same place and have the same name.)
-
You will be presented with a list of all the locked print jobs that are currently on the device. Find your name on the list and select this.
-
After selecting your job, you will be asked for your locked print code. Enter this and select OK.
-
You will be presented with a list of all of the print jobs that you have sent to the printer. Select the print jobs that you wish to release and select Print.
-
You will be prompted to confirm that this jobs you have selected are correct and that you still wish to release these. Confirm that these documents are correct and select Print.
Your print job will be released and will begin to print. You have successfully printed.
