Creating Strong Passwords
As we have all experienced, resetting passwords are a pain, especially when we have to do it as frequently as we do:
The advice from the National Cyber Security Centre is to avoid creating really complicated passwords that make it very difficult to remember, whilst complexity is important (to a degree), the length of the password makes it much harder for an attacker to crack it.
Password 1: T35t1nG! - Estimated time to guess: 1 minute, ease to remember: challenging
Password 2: Brandon-Password-Master! - Estimated time to guess: Centuries! ease to remember: simple.
It is important to try and use Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers and special characters where possible (this increases the character set to attempt to crack a password in the first instance) but the length makes this a lot harder too.
One recommendation is to use 3 unrelated words to be able to create your password, they might be things around you, things you cherish, anything really, then put them all together for a password.
