Checking and updating
There may be times that the details of the service desk emails change or need to be updated. This can be done by:
- Select Settings from the left navigation of the service desk
- Select Email settings and Mailbox. Any mailbox not working correctly will display in an errored state.
- Fix the issue for the mailbox that is in a failed state. Sometimes a failure or error for a mailbox is a temporary blip. Wait 5 minutes before taking invasive action.

Both incoming and outgoing mail servers should be showing as Connected.

You must use user accounts for the sending and receiving of service desk emails.
You must ensure that SMTP and POP is enabled on any mailbox that you are using.
Ensure that you add the details of the account to 1Password.
