Teams calling call functions
Call functions When you are in a call there are a few different functions that you have available to you which can be accessed by selecting the 3 dots in the top right corner: Hold – Puts the call on hold and plays hold music for the person on the other end of the call and mutes them for you. Transfer – Allows you to select someone else within the company, or another telephone number to transfer the call to. Consult then transfer – The same as transfer – but allows you to speak to the person that you are transferring to before the call is redirect. Call queues There may be times that you are a member of a call queue – this is where a single number is called and all people included within the group are automatically called. When requested some call queues can be opted out of – eg, when you may only work for that specific team on specific days. To opt in and out of a call queue: Select your icon(or the three Vertical Dots icon if present) from the top right corner and then select Settings from the drop down. Select Calls from the left navigation and scroll to the bottom to see the queues that you are a member of. Your queue may appear different than the one pictured but its middle characters should be representative of its function. (eg, TEL - REC - CQ) Clicking on the toggle box will change your status. If this is green you will receive the calls and if this is white you will not. Be aware that being able to opt out of a call queue is not available for all queues depending on the queue that you are a member of. If you know that you are a member of a call queue and the above toggle box is not visible then the call queue that you are a member of is not able to be opted out of.
