How to follow a SharePoint site
When you visit the site for the first time, you may find it useful to mark the site as “Following”. You can do this by clicking where it says “Not following”: Once you click on 'Not following', it will change to "Following" with a star next to it: To find sites that you are following: Go to Office 365 Click on the SharePoint icon in the list of icons on the left hand side of your screen You should see a page "Following" with showing all the sites that you are following.

How to Delete a file on SharePoint online
You will need to go to your SharePoint site in a web browser, then select the document store from the navigation, and browse through any folders until you find the document you want to delete. Click the tick next to the document, then click delete:

How to restore deleted items from the recycle bin in SharePoint online
If you accidentally delete a document, don’t panic, getting the document back is fairly straight forward. All you need to do is: Log into the SharePoint site Click on the cog in the top right corner Click site contents Click Recycle Bin in the top right corner. Find the document that was accidentally deleted, click the tick next to the desired document, then click restore.

How to use alerts in SharePoint online to stay informed
Alerts can be useful to let you know when a document has been updated, for instance, if a care plan is updated, you can ask SharePoint to send you an email to tell you it has happened. To set an alert on a file: Navigate to the SharePoint site. Find the file you want to be alerted about. Click on the tick next to the file Click on the three dots and click Alert Me. You will see a window Alert me when items change. Update the options eg Alert Title if required. Click OK. You will then receive an email to confirm when the alert is running. Each time the document is updated, you will receive an alert.

How to share file and folders with other in SharePoint online
New staff IS have the ability to grant users with rights to the entire document libraries and that is the process that should be used when a new member of staff comes on board. IS should be notified that this is a requirement and they will action appropriately. Existing staff You can grant a group or individual access to a single file or a folder. Navigate to the SharePoint site. Find the file or folder you want to share. Click the tick next to the file or folder. Click Share from the top navigation. You will see a pop-up box. Search for the person you want to share with and click their name. Click the pencil icon and choose whether to grant them edit or read rights. Add a message if you wish. Click Send. The user will then receive an email with a link saying they have been allowed access.
